Letter from our PublisherA note from our Publisher and CEO, Kevin P. Donoghue
If you cannot climb more than one flight of stairs If you are doing less and less because If your breathing is getting worse Then give me a few minutes and I will change your life.Let’s face it. It’s scary, frustrating, and can be hard to talk about even with your loved ones. When you have COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or suffer with breathing difficulties from smoking, it’s a terrible feeling when you can’t catch your breath or you constantly feel breathless. And I don’t mean getting winded when you’re exercising or doing something strenuous, I’m talking about losing your breath when you’re doing ordinary things….like chores around the house, unpacking groceries, or simply walking up the stairs. Before you know it, you’re doing less and less—maybe you’re frightened of not being able to catch your breath, or you just don’t have the strength. You stop traveling, visiting friends, or even being intimate with your partner. The problem is, the less you do, the weaker you get, the more depressed you feel…and the worse your breathing becomes. It’s a cycle that spirals down from there. But I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t ever have to be this way!No matter what your age, whether you smoke (or used to smoke), or how lousy you may feel, you can dramatically improve your breathing and the quality of your life within a matter of weeks! I’ve discovered a little-known solution that’s so astounding and effective that I knew I had to get the word out to as many folks as possible. What really blew me away about this potent respiratory therapy is that almost nobody with breathing challenges had ever heard of it, let alone been able to access it! It’s called pulmonary rehabilitation and it has over three decades of published research standing behind its clear effectiveness for reducing shortness of breath, improving physical conditioning and improving quality of life for the thousands of COPD patients who’ve been fortunate enough to gain admission. Pulmonary rehab is currently largely available only by prescription, but my many months of research into this amazing treatment option has convinced me that many of its core elements can be practiced at home or at a fitness center. And so I’ve published the Breathe Better for Life™ guide book and companion CD-ROM to provide you the education necessary to discuss this treatment option with your doctor and incorporate the cornerstone elements of pulmonary rehab into your daily life. In this way, I hope to help you regain your vitality, confidence and enjoy a more fulfilling life! Warmest Regards, |
